This day focuses on all the amazing gifts and talents that our students bring to our school communities. It is an opportunity to share successes and celebrate growth. Schools typically highlight academic excellence, showcase their unique school activities/programs, recognize past alumni, and celebrate as a school with the Parish Community. Student’s also have the opportunity to have fun with themed free-dress days, crazy hair day, and other fun activities to focus on our amazing students.
This day focuses on our incredible school faculty and staff members to have given their professional life to the service of the Church and help educate students and foster a love and God and learning in our schools. Students, parents, and the Parish community typically take time to thank teachers for the service and dedication. Cards, luncheons, and songs are all part of the festive celebration. With some amazing student outcomes, high test scores, high school and college matriculation statistics, and development of well-rounded students, there is much to thank our teachers for!
This day focuses on the foundation of Catholic education: Our faith in Jesus. On this day, the school will often participate in a Parish Mass, helping in all aspects of the service (reading, singing, alter serving, etc.). This is also a great day for the Pastor to visit the school and lead the students in a prayer service. Our schools also love to connect with our amazing and supportive parishioners on these days, many of whom are alumni of the school itself, current parents, grandparents, or neighbors. This day is also a reminder of what makes our schools special and unique: a small community of believers who have the opportunity to build our education around our faith in Jesus.
This day focuses on the long histories of our school communities and those than have, and continue, to support it. Many of our schools have rich histories that include 50+ years of serving their communities. Our schools have amazing charisms and connection to faithful orders of priests and nuns that are still celebrated to this day. Our schools also highlight and thank the many community partners and vendors that support our schools each and every year, from first responders, to lunch providers, to athletic volunteers, these incredible community members make our schools possible!
This day focuses on parents who have made the investment in our schools and who have dedicated their time and energy to supporting our schools. Our parents understand and know the value that a Catholic education provides, which is why so many of our parents are willing to volunteer, serve on committees, chair fundraising events, serve as room parents, and so much more. As the primary educators of our children, our parents are amazing partners and should be celebrated!
